The dating process can be hard. You try to find people that you relate to. Sometimes it can feel like a part time job. If you don’t move along quickly and ignore what doesn’t serve you in a relationship, you could get tangled up emotionally and you may involve yourself in a relationship that is not worth your time. We can feel for others when we least expect it. Our feelings can be fleeting or they can stay for awhile.

People overall want to be valued. A dating partner may not show that he or she values you in the way that you want, but you may emotionally feel connected to this person and see if things get better.

When expectations are not set at the beginning for how you need to be treated in a relationship, you can let things slip more and more. You may do this for a variety of reasons. You may not feel worthy of better treatment. You may be settling because you feel you don’t have many other options available to you. You will feel the relationship becoming a burden instead of a pleasure in your life.

Your time is a valuable asset. Entrepreneurs understand this concept. The richest people in the world also understand this. Those involved in their own relationships need to understand this as well. Time spent in joy and doing worthwhile activities leads to a life that is worth living.
