F**kboys: What’s Their Deal?!
The Huffpost website has an article called, “A Brief History Of ‘F**kboy,’ The Internet’s Favorite New Man-Bashing Slur” that talks about where the word, “fuckboy” came from and how it evolved to be what it is today. It has become very easy for guys to use their computers and phones to send out texts in order to catch the attention of attractive women in order to use them for sex. Guys will use various tactics in order to get the woman to open up and do what they want.
Women want to feel empowered, but a lot of times the dating apps and the Internet allows several unwanted messages to show up in a woman’s DMs. Women have to consistently filter out “the bad ones” and it can get exhausting. A woman may break down to the point of tears if all she’s getting is messages centered around “having fun,” “sending nudes,” or “showing herself” if she’s just trying to get to know somebody.
If a woman is ONLY approached in a way that is sexual, she’s going to get annoyed and agitated. She may think that there’s no one else out there that wants to get to know her for who she is. She may get to a point where she feels super isolated and depressed.
Sometimes as women we have to say “no” over and over to what we don’t want. It doesn’t mean that what we want doesn’t exist. It means that we have to filter through the many options available. Fuckboys just happen…
