How To Not Let Online Dating Become A Part Time Job

There’s lots of unknowns in the online world. I found myself faced with the task of finding out if someone really was who he said he was. I used different apps and websites to open up my options in relation to the different types of guys I could meet. I received hundreds of messages and still turned down many guys.

I wanted something to work out so bad, but I found that all of my time was spent either reading messages, reading profiles or replying. I had become accustomed to putting so much energy and time into online dating that I felt something should have worked out by now. I felt agitated, angry and upset most of the time because I felt things weren’t going to work out anyway.

I would spend many hours or weeks getting to know somebody. It was through text messages and phone calls then the guy would either ghost me or stop replying. I felt like I was being treated like I was nothing and that made me question myself so many times and made me feel so uncertain about myself and why this was so hard.

You should never lose the sense of yourself. Online dating is a way to connect to your potential mate, but if you are feeling defeated, you should take a break to reconnect again to yourself.
