Love Interests: Who Are You Trying To Impress?

Sometimes in love, we find someone really attractive or somebody that we put on a pedestal for various reasons. We may even be extremely attracted to somebody without knowing a reason of why or we may know that there are specific desirable qualities that this person possesses.

In love, we may desire to get close to certain “types” of people. We may assign them value, but they may not give us the time of day or the attention that we’ve been wanting. We can end up feeling down, embarrassed or ashamed of ourselves.

We may try to impress someone that is not worth the effort of impressing. Our eyes may be only seeing the exterior of what is known to us about a person without delving deeper into their character or true personality. We could get blinded by our overwhelming desire to be connected to someone that may just not be worth it in the end.

Sometimes our emotions drive us to getting really excited about someone or something in particular. If we have an overwhelming desire that can’t be tamed, it is best to turn to logic to give us a balanced perspective. Sometimes what we think we want isn’t really what we need.
