Relationships: What Did You Learn From Them?
When we look at our past relationships, things may have turned out our way or things may have not turned out our way. A relationship is comprised of two individuals that both have free will. If we don’t look into the lessons that are to be learned from being in our relationships, we will not do anything different and continue repeating the same behavior and actions as before.
Sometimes people want to stay the same, but expect different results in their relationships. They sometimes refuse to view the relationship from the other partner’s side and resist analyzing their past relationships. In resisting to look at what went right or wrong within your relationships, you subject yourself to more failed relationships in the future.
People may try to blame the other partner for things that went wrong and refuse to look at themselves. This can come from a need for protection of the ego. The perceived idea of being right in terms of the ego can drive people to make the same mistakes and never have a successful relationship if there is refusal to accept other viewpoints.
Learning in any area of life means that you are open to change and doing better. Acceptance and introspection of the past helps us to master our future. Mastery in relationships comes from knowing what we want and being that person that we would love to have…
