Trust: An Essential Ingredient For A Relationship

Many people, even my own family members, have let me down when it comes to trust. When trust is destroyed or gone, it takes longer to build it back up. It can also affect your ability to trust others in general. I’ve given many fair chances to people to prove that I could trust them, but they’ve proven me wrong.

Some people want to get what they want, but sometimes they don’t care who they have to manipulate or what they have to do to get where they want to be. They treat people like objects for the most part. I am disgusted by these kinds of people, especially in a relationship sense. I’ve had things in a relationship turn out unexpectedly and then get cast aside as if I hadn’t mattered at all. It makes me feel disgusted, angry and want to seek justice when I’ve put my trust in somebody only to have been let down.

In the dating world, I’ve given many chances to men to prove me wrong regarding whether or not I should trust them. They’ve usually let me down, treated me like garbage with verbal and physical abuse or ignored me.
