“You Give Up On Love, You Give Up On Life”

3 min readDec 7, 2020

I was watching one of the more recent “Catfish: The TV Show” episodes that my fiancé had put on for us to watch. There was a commercial that had come on promoting Bumble. In that commercial, the tagline in it was “You Give Up On Love, You Give Up On Life.” I thought about how dramatic that message was as it appeared in the commercial. That message still rang true in my heart. Life is all about energy. Energy is all about giving and receiving.

We all want to feel love, but it may be hard to feel it when there are unrecognizable blocks on an energetic level to giving and receiving love. When our self limiting beliefs bring us to a point where we give up on love entirely, live becomes more challenging and not worth living.

When we box ourselves in our minds with our self limiting beliefs, we inhibit love from being possible. If we feel that we do not deserve love, we will not receive love. If we feel that certain people are better than us, we may feel that we shouldn’t give love to them for fear of not being received well. The intricacies involved in the self limiting beliefs and thoughts that we’ve created around love can make it difficult and challenging to freely give and receive love if we haven’t deconstructed them.

Love is ever present. It exists. Even though we may not have access to it immediately when we want it…
