Your Relationship vs. Your Job
Relationships are a difficult thing to maintain these days. Just look at the world around you right now; the economy is falling through the floor, people are either getting laid off or don’t have jobs and nothing seems to be going in the right direction. There are a lot of stresses out there in the world and there is a good chance that you are bringing some of that home with you.
One thing that you are going to need to do to keep your relationship as strong as it was in the very beginning is to plan one day a week where you and your partner do something fun together. It doesn’t have to be anything extraordinary or super adventurous, but it should be something that the two of you enjoy doing together. Even if that is just sitting on the front porch reading a book, the key is doing it together and spending time with each other in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
You may consider the time you spent with each other at night, before you both fall asleep in front of the television, as time together, but you need something that lasts a bit longer than an hour or so and without the television. You don’t want to be distracted by something on the television when you are trying to spend time with each other. You should also make sure that neither one of you is on the computer either.
